Level 1 Boxing Therapy Class
This class is available to participants who have completed their induction session and have been assessed as ready for Level 1 training.
Building on the fundamentals, this class introduces more complex combinations and challenges both physical and cognitive abilities. Designed in collaboration with the Perron Institute, the Level 1 program targets limb extension, trunk rotation, balance, coordination, and reaction time through advanced boxing drills and movement sequences.
Expect a faster pace, increased intensity, and dual-task activities that enhance both body and mind.
What to bring: boxing gloves, water bottle, and a sweat towel. Support persons are welcome to attend and encouraged to observe.

What is the focus of the Level 1 program?
Level 1 builds on the fundamentals: you’ll work on more complex footwork, punch & movement combinations, coordination, balance, and strength, with gradually increased intensity.
Who is Level 1 for?
This is for participants who have completed the Beginner program (or equivalent) and are ready to progress to more challenging drills and movements, while still being guided and supported.
How long is each Level 1 session?
A Level 1 class typically runs for 60 minutes, including warm-up, core drills, combinations, conditioning, and cool-down.
Will I be ready for Level 1 right after Beginner?
You’ll progress to Level 1 when you and your coach agree you’re comfortable with foundational movements and ready to incorporate additional complexity. Everyone moves at their own pace.
What equipment or gear do I need?
Comfortable athletic clothing
Supportive gym shoes
Water bottle, towel
Boxing gloves or wraps (if required) — often provided or loaned
What kind of results or improvements can I expect?
Common benefits include improved coordination, increased stamina, better balance, greater confidence in movement, and more fluidity in combining drills.
Can modifications still be made in Level 1?
Yes. Even though the level is more advanced, your coach will always offer modifications or alternative movements when needed — based on your strength, mobility, or health status.
